2011 feierte die Schweizer Botschaft in Thailand 80 Jahre diplomatische Beziehungen zwischen den beiden Ländern. Im Rahmen dieser Feierlichkeiten fand die Weltpremiere eines für das «Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra» geschriebenen Cellokonzertes statt. Das ca. 25 Minuten dauernde einsätzige Werk ist von der thailändischen Geschichte über die Königin Sirimadi inspiriert.
